#URGENT APPEAL FOR MY 6-MONTH-OLD DAUGHTER, #KAREN

Karen is a 6-month-old Palestinian baby girl currently in Egypt. She has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1, a life-threatening genetic condition that requires immediate treatment.

Her doctors have recommended treatment with Evrysdi , Spinraza, or Zolgensma. Unfortunately, these treatments are not accessible to us, and the cost is far beyond what we can afford.

Karen’s condition is extremely urgent, and every day matters. The earlier she receives treatment, the greater the chance of preserving her strength and giving her the best possible opportunity for a better outcome. We are running out of time and desperately need help.

We are urgently seeking a transfer to a specialized hospital abroad so that Karen can receive the care she desperately needs as soon as possible.

I have all medical reports and necessary documentation available and can provide them to any hospital willing to help.

Karen’s condition is getting worse as she gets older.

For her to be eligible for treatment, she needs to be very young.

So far, no organization has been willing to sponsor her treatment. We may end up having to create a GoFundMe for her because we can’t afford to wait any longer. Even that, will not be easy.
