Wa Alaykum Salam Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatahu
We know that our scholars are not infallible. If a scholar of the Sunnah errs, then his mistake is refuted with knowledge and justice, yet his honor is preserved.
We have many examples of the above.
Imam Dhahabi said:
“If everyone who erred in his ijtihād, despite the soundness of his faith and his sincere desire to follow the truth, were to be abandoned and labeled an innovator, then very few of the Imams would remain safe with us.” [Siyar: 14/376]
What we are witnessing from trolls and unknown accounts is abhorrent behavior and etiquettes.
May Allah grant us all success.
Extremely disheartening to find Muslims mourning over the death of athletes, singers, and actors, while not being moved the slightest by the death of senior scholars of Islam; inheritors of the Prophets! How warped have our hearts become because of this cursed dunya we live in?!
This sums up the problem with Mufti Menk.
He avoids warning clearly against Shirk and Bidʿah.
That’s not the Daʿwah of the Prophets; it’s appeasement.
Him and those like him are chasing followers, not speaking truth.

A History of the Four Attempts to Uncover the Prophet’s ﷺ Noble Grave
Praise be to Allah, who protected His Prophet ﷺ even after death.
Across history, there have been four known attempts to violate the noble resting place of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ. Each one failed—foiled by divine intervention, righteous protectors, and the unwavering resolve of the Muslim community.

Yasir Qadhi, in an interview after discussing his departure from his “Madinah Phase”—referring to the Salafī Sunnī curriculum of the Islamic University of Madinah that teaches books of the Salaf and Imāms of the Sunnah in affirming Allāh’s Ṣifāt (Attributes) as they were mentioned in the Book of Allāh and in the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ without taḥrīf (distortion), nor taʾwīl (figurative interpretation), nor tamthīl (likening), nor tashbīh (resemblance), nor taʿṭīl (denial)—makes the following remarks:
He states that after being in the “Madinah Phase” and being spiritually invested in it for 10 to 15 years of his life, he then studied the philosophy of language and says:
“𝗪𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦̣𝗶𝗳𝗮̄𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.”
That’s right, 20th century Austro-British philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein “solved” the “controversy” of Allāh’s Ṣifāt (Attributes).
What we understand from his speech:
1. Allāh’s Ṣifāt (Attributes) is a controversy that needs to be solved.
2. That solution was not present in the Quran and the Sunnah.
3. The Ṣaḥāba, the Salaf, and the Imāms of the Sunnah throughout the centuries were wrong in their affirmation and understanding.
4. Austro-British philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein solved the Ṣifāt (Attributes).
Shaykh al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله (d. 728H) said in his poem Lāmiyyah:

“Disgrace to the one who casts the Quran behind his back …
and when he seeks evidence, he says: ‘Al-Akhṭal (the Christian poet) said.’”
Shaykh Zayd Al-Madkhalī رحمه الله (d. 1436H) commented:
“This is a supplication against those who abandon evidence in this matter—pertaining to Allah’s Names and Attributes—or other than it [from the matters of Dīn]. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 ﷻ 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 ﷺ 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗻.”

His wife said to him, “I’ve never seen people more disloyal than your friends. When you’re wealthy, they cling to you but when you’re struggling, they leave you!”
Question: Is it authentic that sending ṣalāh upon the Prophet (may Allāh raise his rank and grant him peace) with the intention of fulfilling a need, fulfills it?
Answer by Shaykh ‘Arafāt ibn Ḥasan: https://t.co/RqQMBWA5hk
The sincerity of a husband is known during the sickness of his wife.
The sincerity of a wife is known during the financial difficulty of the husband.
The sincerity of friends is known during hard times.
The true relatives are known when one is far from his country, lonely or sick.

This is not Badr. There is no comparison.
Badr was a testimony of faith, sacrifice, and sincerity of the Companions. What’s happening in Times Square is about clout.
Tarawih is an act of worship and should not be turned into a social media spectacle in hype driven environments.

Ibn al-Qayyim - “And the people of the earth, all of them recognise this, as they have indeed experienced it."
One of the most despicable and harmful religious innovations introduced by Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimun in general, and the khawarij Hamas gangsters of Gaza in particular, is the corrupted perspective on victory and defeat that they have pushed onto the masses. No matter how much death, destruction, and suffering befalls the people of Gaza, they and their deluded supporters are quick to label it a "victory." I didn’t think they would have the shamelessness and audacity to do it again this time, given the events of the past 15 months and their stated objectives at the start—"conquering Jerusalem" and the so-called "Al-Aqsa flood"—but it seems nothing is beneath them.
This corrupted perspective is not only an insult to anyone with intellect, but it also fundamentally contradicts the sunnah of Allah concerning His righteous servants and the divine wisdom behind decreeing calamities. It is a form of deception by Shaytan, feeding their delusions and entrapping Gaza in a cycle of self-destruction.
Even the most righteous servants of Allah are not granted perpetual worldly victories. Instead, Allah alternates between victory and trial, testing and purifying the believers, and at times, making them taste the consequences of their own shortcomings.
The Qur'an and Sunnah teach us that even the Prophets of Allah experienced both victory and defeat with their enemies, as part of Allah’s wisdom. Hamas however has spent 20 years claiming a string of endless "victories." Why change their ways? Don't you see all their "victories"?!
In the well-known exchange between Heraclius and Abu Sufyan (before Abu Sufyan embraced Islam), Heraclius inquired about the state of battles between the Prophet and his enemies, seeking to determine if he was really a prophet. Abu Sufyan said: “The war is back-and-forth; sometimes we prevail over him, and sometimes he prevails over us.” Heraclius responded: “Such is the way with the Messengers: they are tested, but in the end, the final outcome is in their favor.”
Allah Himself says:
{إِن یَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ قَرۡحࣱ فَقَدۡ مَسَّ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ قَرۡحࣱ مِّثۡلُهُۥۚ وَتِلۡكَ ٱلۡأَیَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَیۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلِیَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَیَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمۡ شُهَدَاۤءَۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا یُحِبُّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِین}
“If you have suffered a blow, they too have suffered a blow like it. And such are the days We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and take martyrs from among you.”
The Salaf explained the 'alteration' mentioned in the verse as the alteration of victory and defeat. Ibn Abbas said in explanation: “The Mushrikoon prevailed on the day of Uhud, and the Prophet prevailed on the day of Badr.” The Prophet (salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and his Companions would never falsely label the calamities that befell the Muslims as "victories."
In the Battle of Uhud, when 70 of the Prophet’s companions were martyred, Allah explicitly described the event as a calamity:
{أَوَلَمَّاۤ أَصَـٰبَتۡكُم مُّصِیبَةࣱ قَدۡ أَصَبۡتُم مِّثۡلَیۡهَا قُلۡتُمۡ أَنَّىٰ هَـٰذَاۖ قُلۡ هُوَ مِنۡ عِندِ أَنفُسِكُمۡ}
“Why is it that when a calamity struck you, although you had struck the enemy with one twice as great, you said, ‘From where is this?’ Say, ‘It is from yourselves.’”
The death of 70 Companions on the battlefield was explicitly acknowledged as a calamity to be learned from—not a victory to be celebrated. Furthermore, Allah commanded the believers to attribute the cause of the calamity to their own selves, teaching the believers that whatever befalls them is of their own doing.
Yet today, despite tens of thousands of civilians brutally slaughtered, families torn apart, an entire population forced to live in tents, children killed and orphaned, countless people injured or permanently disabled, and entire cities reduced to rubble, such disasters are shamelessly presented to the mindless as "victories."
When the conversation turns to accountability, the blame is usually deflected entirely, directing it towards "Arab rulers" or some other external cause. The blame never falls on them, nor do they exhibit any sense of responsibility for the immense suffering their reckless actions bring upon the people of Gaza. This perpetual denial of their role in the devastation ensures that no lessons are learned, and the cycle of destruction repeats itself endlessly.
To illustrate this, Hamas has regularly held "victory rallies" after reaching ceasefire deals, despite the unspeakable suffering inflicted on the people of Gaza. After the 2014 war, which resulted in the deaths of over 2,500 Palestinians—many of them women and children—and widespread destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, Hamas shamelessly declared it a "victory." The propaganda wing of Hamas, Al-Jazeera, sent a reporter to Gaza in the aftermath to push this narrative. During an interview with an old lady, the reporter asked her, “What are your thoughts on this victory?” She replied, “My son, what victory are you talking about? A couple more of these ‘victories,’ and there will be no Gaza left.” The reporter swiftly pulled the microphone away.
Fast forward almost ten years and a few "victories" later, and, unsurprisingly, Gaza is now decimated. No homes, no hospitals, no schools, no livelihoods—just suffering, humiliation, pain, and anguish so deep that only Allah knows its full extent.
But who cares?! These are just more "victories"!
Unfortunately, the Jews have exploited this Hamas mindset and use it to bait Hamas into reckless confrontations, providing a pretext for their ambitions of mass eradication and the systematic destruction of Gaza.
Instead of pausing to reflect and rectify their ways according to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His messenger, they continue pushing forward in arrogance, absolving themselves of all responsibility for the consequences of their actions.
For example, Hamas gang leaders have always dismissed criticism of their actions that lead to mass suffering. Recently, gang leader Khaled Mashal dismissed the deaths of 45,000+ Palestinians and the total destruction of Gaza as mere "tactical losses," coldly adding, "Their death is martyrdom." Tactical losses. Gang leader Ghazi Hamad, when confronted about the staggering death toll of this genocide, shamelessly retorted, "Even if they kill another one hundred thousand!" Gang leader Fathi Hammad disgustingly described the people of Gaza as follows: "Death has become a profession that women, the elderly, and children excel at. They are human shields, consisting of women, the elderly, and children." Nizar Rayyan had previously said, "The more blood we sacrifice, the closer we are to our land." Shaytan has convinced both sides into believing that the more Palestinians die, the closer they come to achieving their respective objectives.
ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله
This sick, twisted, ignorant way of thinking is fundamentally at odds with Islam. In fact, actions that preserve life are specifically described as "victory" and "triumph" in many places in the texts. For instance, Allah, in the Quran, described the preservation of the Prophet and Abu Bakr during the migration as a victory, even without a battle. The Prophet also called Khaled ibn al-Walid’s retreat in the Battle of Mu'tah "a triumph" because it saved lives. Similarly, the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, which safeguarded Muslim lives and allowed for freedom of da'wah, was described by Allah in His book as a "clear triumph".
Sadly, many Muslims would rather live in a perpetual state of denial, and instead of resolving to return to the Qur'an and Sunnah—the only true source of their honor—they fabricate false narratives of "victory" and find ways to shift the blame, to shield themselves from the uncomfortable religious obligation of self-accountability.
Allah’s wisdom in decreeing defeat, calamities, and suffering at times is meant to awaken the hearts of the believers and push them back toward Him and the implementation of His religion. As He says in the Qur’an:
{ظَهَرَ ٱلۡفَسَادُ فِی ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ أَیۡدِی ٱلنَّاسِ لِیُذِیقَهُم بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِی عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَرۡجِعُونَ}
"Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by what the hands of people have earned, that He may let them taste part of what they have done, so perhaps they will return."
Thus, by constantly labeling the immense suffering befalling Muslims as "victories," they nullify the very wisdom behind these trials. As a result, nothing changes, and the destructive cycle continues.

“Whoever cannot support people with his wealth, food, or drink, let him support them with a cheerful face and good character.”

Yes, bārakallāhu-feek.
Reports are accepted from trustworthy narrators of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Hadīth, those known for piety, truthfulness and precision, who bring us their chains of narration.
It is not a must that one’s words be recorded in audio or video before they are accepted. Indeed, ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI)’ has shown us that videos and audios can be manipulated easily, and voices altered and fabricated.
As for the isnād, it is a distinguishing sign of Islam, and it will endure so long as Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Hadīth endure. And the science of the appraisal of narrators and their criticism (al-jarh wat-ta’deel) gives us the ability to decipher between what can be accepted and rejected. For this reason, ‘Abdullāh Ibn Mubārak (d. 181 AH) said: “The isnād (chain of narration) is from the Religion — and were it not for the isnād, anyone could say whatever he wanted to say.” (Sahīh Muslim, Al-Muqaddimah, no. 32)
Muhammad Ibn Sīrīn (d. 110 AH) stated: “They would not ask about the chain of narration [in the early days], but when the fitnah occurred, they would say: ‘Name for us your men’. So Ahlus-Sunnah would be regarded, and their Hadīth accepted. And Ahlul-Bid’ah would be regarded, and their Hadīth were not accepted.” (Sahīh Muslim, Al-Muqaddimah, no. 27)
The voice of Shaikh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez Ibn Bāz in the link provided uses ‘AI’ voice manipulation software, and shows the real possibility of fabricating statements and ascribing them to the scholars, shaikhs and students of knowledge.
So, verify recordings that come to you from untrustworthy or unknown social media accounts (even if they claim to be upon Salafiyyah) and pay no attention to these social-media “influencers” because they are people of opinion and desires seeking attention and followers.
Present the statements from unknown sources to those who know. Imām al-Awzā’ī (died 157 AH) said: “We would hear a Hadīth and then present it to our scholars just as one presents a counterfeit coin (dirham) to a teller — so what they accepted, we accepted and what they rejected, we rejected.” (See al-Jarh wat-Ta’deel, 2/21)
So, take your knowledge from authentic verifiable websites such as those representing Shaikh Ibn Bāz, Shaikh Ibn ʿUthaymeen, Shaikh Al-Fawzān, Shaikh Rabee’, Shaikh ʿAbdul-Muhsin and so on.
Follow the official websites and social media accounts run by known Salafi shaikhs, students of knowledge and marākiz. Let’s bring to an end the era of random following and YouTube surfing.
So unfollow these entertainers and social-media “influencers” who sow discord, misguidance and confusion in the ranks of the Ahlus-Sunnah. We are not in need of their ‘opinions’!
