Governor Kauran Dambu of Kebbi will spend 1.3 billion naira on fridges and freezers. 1.3 billion is one thousand three hundred million naira.

Yet he pays some primary school teachers 13,500 naira. With that, they are expected to feed their families, clothe themselves, and pay transport fares.

If he were to pay primary school teachers a minimum salary of 70,000 naira, the 1.3 billion meant for fridges would be enough to pay 18,571 teachers in Kebbi.
