104 new Metro buses on the way 🚌 🚌
Sri Lanka has received a fleet of 104 new FOTON Metro Buses from China to strengthen the country’s public transport sector.
The buses were officially handed over at a ceremony in Beijing.

So there's a 4-mil record data dump from a possible @PickMeLK data breach floating around the internet. The breach in question includes customer emails, hashed passwords, and credit card information (number and CVV) allegedly from a 2020 dataset.

Having read way too much about the Soviet space program, I've become more and more convinced that part of why people believe autocracies are dynamic and smart is that autocracies promote developments in tech that doesn't matter, but which dazzles people.

Spot on.
It's easy to say, "Europe's high income taxes are fine because the public services are of a better quality". But it's important to look at how those countries got to that standard of service. Low tax revenue = low rates of investment in public services.
Not this simple of course, but if you're saying you get much better public services in those countries, might be good to reflect on how those countries developed those services, and how many of the poorest in those places got much better protections than we do here.
The PTA couldn’t prevent the Easter Sunday bombings. It has not brought justice or closure to the victims of the bomb blasts.
So who has it really helped?
No doubt about it #RepealPTA. Not repeal and replace. Repeal.
