We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Hadhrat Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi, a renowned scholar, spiritual leader, and guide.

Born on 1 April 1953, Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi was one of the leading Ulama of Tasawwuf (spiritual reformation) in the present era. He was formally granted authorization (Ijazah-o-Khilafat) in the Naqshbandi spiritual path (Silsilah) and retired from his position as General Manager (Planning and Development) at the age of forty to devote himself entirely to the service of Islam.

He travelled to more than sixty countries, transforming the lives of people all over the world.

Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi was a beacon of guidance, known for his deep love for Allah Ta’ala, uncompromising dedication to Sunnah, and firm adherence to Islamic Law (Shariah).

Thousands of religious scholars and students of Islamic learning are among his students (murids), a testament to his impact. He has written dozens of books, and over 200 books have been produced from his lectures, many translated into several languages.

As one of the most famous Naqshbandi Shaykhs of Tasawwuf, he had a worldwide following, with hundreds of thousands of seekers across the world, from America and Africa to Southeast Asia and from Russia to Australia, counting themselves among his students. The spiritual chain of Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad traces back through authentic teachers to the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).

He was widely known as the founder of Mahad-ul-Faqir Al-Islami in Jhang, Pakistan, and a leading figure of the Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Sufi order.

May Allah Taʿālā elevate his status in Jannah, grant him forgiveness and mercy, and strengthen his legacy. Ameen.
