7/7 Final Post
Every one of these countries has something to gain from recognising Somaliland.
The question is not whether Somaliland offers value.
The question is who will act first.
The second country to recognise Somaliland will not simply be recognising a nation.
It will be securing a strategic partnership for generations.

🧵 THREAD: The country that becomes the second nation to recognise Somaliland will gain far more than diplomatic goodwill.
For 35 years, Somaliland has demonstrated peace, stability, democratic governance, and strategic importance in one of the world's most critical regions.
The question is no longer whether Somaliland matters.
The question is: Which country will recognise the opportunity first?

6/7 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia
No country understands the importance of Red Sea security more than Saudi Arabia.
Somaliland sits opposite the Kingdom on one of the world's most important maritime routes.
A strong partnership could benefit trade, security, livestock exports, and regional stability for decades.

@RTErdogan is speaking, not @HassanSMohamud.
If he can’t free Mogadishu from Al-Shabaab, how exactly is he supposed to “defend” Somaliland from Israel?
The President of the failed state of Somalia delivers a message from his handlers - Somalia will go to war with Israel - whilst speaking to Al Jazeera in Qatar!
First Saudia media pushed him to threaten force against the Republic of Somaliland & now Qatari media pushes him to say that he would go to war with Israel.
The strategy is clear, ramp up the war rhetoric to get the NGO industrial complex to push the myth that recognising Somaliland will destabilise the region.
@HarunMaruf is being dishonest.
He knows full well Turkey did NOT 'give' or provide F-16 jets to Somalia
They DEPLOYED their own Turkish-operated F-16s to Mogadishu to protect his own colony.
The jets remain Turkish-owned & flown by Turkish pilots. Stop misleading people.

Somalia’s Defense Minister, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi on Wednesday confirmed that Turkey provided three F-16 fighter jets to the Somali army. The announcement follows recent sightings of fighter jets taking off from and landing at Mogadishu airport.
Fiqi hinted that the jets will be used as part of military operations against the Al-Shabaab militant group.
Security sources also raised the possibility that Somalia could use the jets to enforce its sovereignty over national airspace, which has been exploited for decades.
The sources said the delivery of the jets had been planned long in advance, in tandem with the training of Somali pilots in Turkey and Qatar.
Those 'Somali' F-16s?
Turkish jets, Turkish pilots, Turkish property.
Deployed to Mogadishu for Ankara's security & investments - not gifted or sold to Somalia.
Let's call it what it is: Turkish muscle, not Somalia's air force upgrade.
Thus Turkish colonial power.
To Erdogan @RTErdogan:
Somaliland doesn't need Turkey's permission to exist or partner with Israel.
Your 'rejection' changes nothing.
No authority, no relevance.
Somaliland moves forward - with or without your approval.

Turkiye’s Erdogan is practically in despair. Somaliland has exposed the limits of Turkiye’s power and influence.
Turkiye has no authority in Somaliland. In Erdogan’s own words from recent meetings:
“In today’s discussions, we covered regional issues, including Libya, Sudan, and the Horn of Africa. For lasting stability in Libya, preserving national unity remains a shared goal with Egypt, and we agree on supporting Libyan-led processes. In Sudan, we hope for a ceasefire followed by sustainable peace. We reject #Israel’s recognition of #Somaliland, which threatens Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Any steps concerning the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Somaliland region must reflect the will of all Somalis.”
Somaliland’s independence and international engagement have laid bare that Ankara’s influence in the region is limited. Symbolic posturing cannot replace actual authority on the ground.
Mr @AhmedMoFiqi
Türkiye cannot give what it does not own.
F-16s are US-controlled aircraft. Turkey has no authority to transfer them, and Somalia has no legal or operational capacity to use them.
Any fantasy about using F-16s to attack Somaliland will fail.
Somaliland has allies, defence partnerships, and access to modern air power. If required, we look to platforms like the F-35, not empty threats.
Türkiye’s modern-colonial ambitions will fail in Somaliland and will fail in Somalia.
