Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. @Thomas_Tayebwa made a very profound statement at the burial of Omukama Oyo. “We have lost a king whom we shall replace, we have lost a friend whom we shall replace, but Queen mother has lost a son whom she will never replace”.

This statement reminds us that while the Kingdom will get another king, The Queen Mother Best Kemigisa has lost her own child. She deserves to be respected as a mother and allowed to mourn her son in whichever way she chooses.

Let us give her grace, respect and privacy in this painful period.

Hon. Kahinda Otafiire’s statement that he respects Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba but does not support him for President is his personal view, and it deserves respect. In a democracy, differing opinions are natural and should be handled with civility and maturity.
At the same time, many Ugandans across the country continue to express confidence in Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s leadership, vision, and commitment to national progress and strategic security .
In the end, democracy gives the final voice to the people and the people will decide.

When His Excellency appointed me to represent him, he offered me his helicopter to facilitate my travel here. However, after learning about the poor condition of the Mityana–Mubende–Kyegegwa–Kyenjojo road, I decided to travel by road to see the situation for myself. It is clear that the road urgently needs rehabilitation.

I instructed the Minister of Finance, who was present with us, to secure the necessary funds within two weeks so that we can begin work on the road without further delay.
