It’s most utmost respect to HE The President that I write to fully concur with his sentiments shared while bidding farewell to our NSA whom I had the distinct privilege and honor to serve as her Deputy, right from the inception of ONSA to date. She indeed served our great country with zeal and courage in the various portfolios entrusted to her, that I too had the pleasure to work closely with her.Fare thee well Madam NSA and God Bless.
Angola has sent 430 soldiers to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to support and help President Tshisekedi fight M23.
This comes after Tanzania also sent its soldiers to fight M23.
M23 defeated the SADC troops, so it is easy to say these soldiers will also be defeated. While the world is looking for solutions to stop the war, Tanzania, Burundi, and Angola are actively working to keep it going.
Tanzanian troops have been also booming Minembwe.

William Ruto you can't outsmart Edwin Sifuna by Using your new Project Jalango to vie for Nairobi senator, this is a poor failed game.
Nairobi seats don't belong to those who eat on the same table with William Ruto.
Jalango himself is William Rutos project who will be used stop @edwinsifuna
The South African government has made the right a decision to withdraw its troops from the @UN peacekeeping force in the DRC. Tshisekedi can ask the USA for assistance
Kalonzo Musyoka’s attack on Northern Kenya would be laughable if it were not so hypocritical. Ukambani and Northern Kenya are not worlds apart; both regions share the same burdens of aridity, historical neglect, weak infrastructure, and limited economic opportunities. These conditions did not fall from the sky yesterday, they are the product of decades of failed leadership at the national level, including from those who now speak the loudest.
What @skmusyoka deliberately ignores is reality. Northern Kenya is vast, larger than several countries combined making infrastructure rollout exponentially more demanding than in compact regions. Add to that decades of insecurity, banditry, and cross-border instability, and the development delays become understandable, if not inevitable. These are structural challenges that require sustained state intervention, not cheap moral lectures from career politicians.
President @WilliamsRuto is not theorising about solutions, he is delivering them. His administration has rolled out and accelerated flagship infrastructure such as the Isiolo–Moyale highway, sections of the Isiolo–Mandera road, the Garissa–Modogashe–Wajir corridor, alongside water, energy, housing, and security investments across Northern Kenya. In Ukambani, key road links connecting Machakos, Makueni, Kibwezi, and Kitui are part of the same national correction, finally integrating regions that were ignored for generations.
That is why Kalonzo’s posture collapses under scrutiny. After nearly 40 years in national leadership, he cannot point to a single transformative road he personally delivered not even the road to his own home. Even Wamunyoro himself never delivered a road in Mathira; the road to his home was built by President Ruto. Leaders who could not deliver basic infrastructure in their own backyards have no standing to lecture Northern Kenya or sell development promises. It takes a special kind of confidence for Kalonzo and @rigathi to lecture Northern Kenya on development after forty years in politics, with no roads to show for decades in power, not even the one to their own homes, yet somehow they have unlimited advice. Kenya doesn’t lack speeches on development; it lacks leaders who actually build something. The joke really writes itself.
UPDATE
Winnie Odinga had asked President William Ruto to appoint her as CS Foreign Affairs but the request was declined. She later asked to be picked as CS Tourism, the request was DECLINED. However, Ruto offered to appoint her as PS. She declined, said she wants CS or NOTHING. This is why she is mad at Dr Oburu Oginga. Narration by Kisii Woman Rep Donya Doris.
Somalis and Kikuyus are, by culture and practice, business people. Across Kenya and especially in Nairobi they are the foundation of our economy.
The word Somali originates from the phrase "soo maal" which means the obligation to go out and seek sustenance, to hunt, to milk, or to harvest. It is a philosophy of movement and initiative. Among the Kikuyu, the same is captured in "witeithie", meaning the moral duty to fend for oneself, to seek opportunity, to build through effort.
Today, I held constructive and candid discussions with @fazmahal at his office in Nairobi in campany of @DCP_Democracy Deputy Party Leader @Cleophasmalala. Those conversations reinforced a painful truth we must no longer remain silent about: Northern Kenya is the ailing silent patient of our Republic.
The region has been ravaged by underdevelopment, drought, suffering, and entrenched poverty. This tragedy cannot be explained by lack of resources. Since devolution began in 2013, the counties of Mandera, Garissa, Wajir, Marsabit, and Isiolo have received over one trillion shillings in taxpayer money, through national transfers of the equitable share, NG-CDF, equalisation fund, and disbursements from the Kenya Roads Board.
Beyond domestic financing, trillions more have flowed into the region through multilateral development finance institutions, bilateral development partners, United Nations agencies, international NGOs, and other international development partners. Yet, despite this massive inflow of resources, there is no tangible progress to show on the ground.
This is not a failure of the people. It is a failure of leadership and accountability.
Their leaders have treated public office as a private investment vehicle. They spend most of their time in Nairobi, building apartments in every corner of the city, instead of translating public resources into water, roads, schools, and health facilities for their people back at home.
As for me, Rigathi Gachagua, I am a friend of the Somali community. I seek to diagnose the problem this ailing silent patient has endured over the years, challenges rooted in a chronic lack of accountability.
Northern Kenya must not be condemned to further prolonged suffering. To create the possibility of healing, we must confront the leaders with firmness, fairness, and fearlessness. Accountability is not hostility. It is the beginning of recovery.
Ethiopia 🇪🇹 has announced plans to print its own currency locally, ending decades of reliance on foreign firms for the Birr.
Over two-thirds of Africa's 54 countries (at least 40) still print money abroad, mainly in the UK, France, Germany, or sometimes the US and Canada, adding high shipping costs and risks.
Ethiopia’s move strengthens economic sovereignty and may reduce long-term costs.

@elonmusk My wife and I volunteered in Turkana County, Kenya to find water and Starlink is a major blessing to communicate with the drillers and support. It has increased our efficiency in get water to communities that are in desperate need.
@FrancismugenyiE If you want lake Turkana you will have to fight Turkana and Pokot herdsmen. It is not a small task. Turkana alone is 77,000 sqkm Karamoja is 27,000 sqkm and already bigger then Israel, Rwanda or Belgium.
Be careful what you wish for.
KWS said while her intentions were noble, keeping wildlife, even out of love, is against the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act (WCMA), which protects wild animals and ensures their wellbeing in their natural habitats. The animal is now under expert care at the Nairobi Safari Walk VIDEO/KWS
