The fifth annual Giant Pumpkin Competition at Devonport branch saw a record turnout, with nine entries from across the region.
Simplot’s Ben Foote took out first place with a staggering 260kg pumpkin. Muir’s own Rowan Page and Simplot’s Angus Galloway rounded out the top three.
Last week Muirs team members from across TAS took part in the 10th annual TAPG Ag Innovation Day at Hagley Farm School. As proud event sponsors, Muirs kicked off the day with a ‘Soil Science and Cover Cropping’ session for Discover Ag students, delivered in partnership with UTAS.
