On 5th Muharam, ibn ziyad sent more troops to Karbala to tighten the siege around Imam Hussain’s camp. This was to stop any supplies, especially water, from reaching Imam Hussainع & his supporters.

Husayn ibn Numayr arrived to Karbala with 4k cavalries by the order of ibn ziyad.

4th Muharam, Qazi Shureh issued fatwa to kill Imam Hussainع for not paying allegiance to yazid. After which 18,000 so called religious scholars signed the document & copies were dispatched everywhere.

Even, free swords were distributed everywhere in Kufa to martyr Hussainع 🥀💔
