This evening, I attended the post-launch dinner of the newly established National Public Health Agency, which was launched earlier today by @PresidentBio. In my keynote statement, I highlighted our achievements within the health sector and anticipation of the National Public Health Agency which will strengthen our response to future public health crises and help us to continue to provide routine healthcare services to the people of Sierra Leone.
The creation of this agency indicates how far we have come as a country to build our preparedness capability in order to respond to health emergencies. Bravo to Minister @DembyAustin, the Ministry of Health and our fantastic healthcare workers across Sierra Leone.
The President of the Republic today launched the New Agency established to manage Public Health Emergencies and Disasters in the country, The National Public Health Agency of Sierra Leone. This replaces the Directorate of Health Security and Emergencies of the Ministry of Health.
*Tragedies of Politics*
Why should state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and parastatals which are established to make profit and deliver effective services be consumed by debt in Sierra Leone?

THE CABINET IS NOT ONLY YOUNG BUT HAS BRILLIANT GUYS WITH RICH RESUMES FROM WORLD RENOWNED INSTITUTIONS LIKE HAVARD, MIT AND LSE IN THE UK. IN ADDITION, THESE COLLEAGUES HAVE GATHERED EXPERIENCE IN WORLD RENOWNED INSTITUTIONS AGAIN LIKE WB, IMF & UN AGENCIES.
IT PLEASES ME TO SEE MY NATION, SIERRA LEONE, MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, AND MAKING HISTORY IN NOT ONLY AFRICA BUT THE ENTIRE WORLD. OUR NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT HAS APPOINTED THE YOUNGEST CABINET ON THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA, WHICH IS A TABOO.
