The upcoming school year might be one of the toughest ever to be an educator.
It also might be the most exciting and revolutionary.
Mindset will be critical. 💯
@ercitall@ArkansasCovid Valid points. I guess what I was trying to say is that the government could test fewer people and that would make it appear like this was under control. I support the expanded testing to give us a better picture of what is happening in AR.
@KCJ_DiscoveryEd @SuptEnfield The “old” system will not die easily but through action and advocacy we can make this change. It is so clear to me the time is now and people are ready for a new way. A more equitable and just society. #hope
To act like all white people are like that cop would be false
To act like all black people are involved in the lootings would be false
Racism exists and it’s disgusting. We live in a society where we deal with generalities that doesn’t tell the whole story
Prayers for all
It has just occurred to me that teaching and learning has changed more over the last 40 days than it has in the past 40 years.
It is okay to feel a little bit overwhelmed with that sort of pace. #edtech#education
MJ played JV as soph. Pip started college as manager, Rodman didn’t play HS basketball. Kerr had no offers until after his senior year.
Meanwhile we have people trying to commit as 8th graders, worrying about exposure and constantly comparing young age groups.
Just get better.
Over the past 18 months, I have immersed myself in some important work. I know I will make mistakes, but it is time to share part of what I've learned - addressing my own #whitefragility and #whiteprivilege.

Mom’s are like teachers. They often focus on their flaws and missteps and ignore the fact they are doing amazing in the most difficult important job in the world. That’s one more reason to celebrate and honour them. #mothersday2020
@SelinaLuvsBTS7@nothingbundt any time there was an “event” or birthday at my last 2 jobs, we would use that as an excuse to buy some. 😁 they are sooo gooood
Nothing makes me more irritated than when a parent uses social media to air their complaints and concerns....well, except when an educator does it. Social media is not a place for you to blast your colleagues, admin or parents. If you have a problem, go directly to that person.
