Got asked to sedate an elderly chap on the assessment unit last night who’d been admitted following a fall and increased confusion. He was disorientated, aggressive and punching nursing staff. We replaced the batteries in his hearing aids and all was well. #delirium

Brilliant. This is no small thing. Dehydration equals AKI, constipation, UTI, delirium, hospital admission, basically catastrophe for a person with dementia. Great picture too. Don't know how to # or @ yet. Can someone do this for me??
