August 2026 took early retirement, fell over, broke shoulder and elbow. Cancelled my retirement cruise. Spent a lot of time in hospitals. The best laid plans...

@bindelj There was always going to be more to this story. The fetishising of that child by people looking for a hero was disgraceful.

@PolariPrize Will all nominees be fully vetted for wrongthink in future? You can't have authors having unapproved thoughts, can you? Will you thoroughly check their history or just get them to sign a statement confirming that they hold no views other than the permitted ones?

[J.K. Rowling @jk_rowling]

This is horrifying.

Rough translation:

Greer: It’s misogyny.

Interviewer: Yeah, but that doesn’t mean that some men don’t feel like they’re women.

Greer: So what?

Interviewer: Could you please be nicer?

Greer: No. I’m sick of this sh*t.

Interviewer: If a man really really truly feels like a woman, can he be a woman?

Greer: No.

Interviewer: Do you understand how people feel that’s insulting?

Greer: I don’t care.

I never tire of this interview. ❤️🔥🍾

[Lorna Paterson @Multiscentsory]

@MoniFunGirl @ThomasWillett9 @jk_rowling The problem arises with the use of the word woman to describe you. I can respect the way you live your life as long as I'm not forced to pretend that I think you are any kind of woman.

@Docstockk I've seen some appalling examples of poor judgement in social workers. No doubt many are brilliant, but I wouldn't trust some of them to run a bath.
