🇧🇷 The President of Brazil declares: Iran has also been attacked. I am very angry! Why does everyone with power think they own the world?! We are no longer colonies. We have our independence. Come, let us cry out!
The empire bombed Iran. Sanctioned Venezuela. Blockaded Cuba. Invaded Iraq. Destroyed Libya. Colonized Palestine. And the world is supposed to stay silent.
Brazil speaks. The Global South rises. We are no longer colonies. We are not asking permission. We are declaring independence. Come, let us cry out. Not with tears. With voices. With unity. With resistance.
As an African, I say to Western nations "Don't give anything to our leaders. Don't waste your tax payer's money. Our leaders don't have our best interest at heart. Your contribution will not change our current state of affairs. Ignore them."

She ended it after learning he was married. He stalked, harassed & finally killed her. In court he asks for sentence reduction because he surrendered. This is NOT justice. Violence against women must STOP!#StopFemicide#JusticeforTarikwaTadesse#EthiopianWomen
With the kind of revisionist political sloganeering that minority extremists are unashamedly peddling these days, through glorifying a feudal emperor who oversaw one of the most devastating famines in recent human history, a sadist military butcher who had no compunction about summarily executing thousands of men and women (old and young) —not in a battlefield but in prison cells and offices —, and a vindictive and divisive rebel-turned-leader who led a heremetic clique that run a veritable ethnocracy committed to a sectarian idea of hegemony by one ethnic group, you wonder if their expressed “yearning” for national unity and pride, peace, democracy, human rights, good governance, isn’t some kind of a cruel joke!
Clearly, the national schism is far more complicated than mere contemporary political divergence. There are no glorious past political days to look back to for inspiration or instruction. It is better to look forward, let bygones be bygones, and try to forge a different future through inclusive dialogue and peaceful politics. Nostalgia is not a cure for a country badly in need of deliverance from troubled political history.
I call on all South African men to make this pledge to be part of the effort to end gender-based violence. As individuals and as members of families and communities, we need to change our attitudes and behaviour.
We need to take responsibility for our actions. As men, we must pledge to never raise a hand against a woman, to treat women as equals, to respect their rights and to treat them with dignity. If we are to end violence against women and children, we must work together as a society. The solution starts with us.

Lack of sun exposure is one of the most dangerous things possible for your health.
Most still think this notion is backwards and crazy.
So, I spent my weekend compiling medical research on sun exposure.
What I found is shocking, even for me, an avid sun-enthusiast… 🧵
