Peace is not just the absence of conflict; it is the foundation of resilience, progress, and shared prosperity. This morning, I convened a Peace and Security Coordination Group meeting with IGAD Peace and Security Program Directors, Special Envoys, and partners to align our strategic priorities for 2025 and 2026—not just to respond to challenges, but to shape lasting solutions.
Building on the strides made, IGAD remains committed to diplomacy, conflict prevention, and peacebuilding for lasting regional stability.
