Cork. Sent on the Wednesday and arrived Monday. We had to call over 300 times per day and the webchat may aswell be non existent. Absolute shambles of a service provided by Passport Ireland and surely an investigation needs to be launched. Best of luck to everybody trying!!

@PassportIRL Tried many many times but you simply cannot get through. No call back option. No email address. Over 250 calls per day. AND when you get through they tell you that it has been escalated. See you tomorrow

@PassportIRL And another day with absolutely no update. As mentioned on the webchat, before they ended the chat, we will be going to the Dublin office to demand an update. Local TD has been informed and agreed we have no other option. We are not losing out on a family holiday!

@PassportIRL another day with no update on tracker. We were told 2 weeks ago we would have my daughters passport 'very soon'. Travelling in 2 weeks. Passport was due 02/05/2022. In process of contacting radios and TD's. Can an urgent appointment be made for 1st time passports?

@PassportIRL Needing an urgent update on 10721662926... We have been more than fair and understanding with the delays but when you hear that the wait time for 1st time passports has reduced to 6 weeks makes you wonder why we have been left 12 weeks waiting

@PassportIRL Hi, I do appreciate the reply. I am sure it will update but I cant get an answer as to when it will go to print. We are travelling in less than 3 weeks and we know of friends who have applied for a first time childs passport after us and have received it before us.

@PassportIRL Impossible to get through on webchat or calls! My childs passport was due on 02/05/2022 and still not here. We were told we would be placed on priority and that the passport status will move to Print very soon, still nothing. Very frustrating as we are due to travel!
