Since this attack in New Zealand on our Muslim community I worry even more for my children. They are not like me. I'm white. They are brown. I now worry what will happen to my oldest at school. When I'm in public with them. Will I get abused because they are not like me? 😫😢

Its honestly devastating what's happened in my home country. This event deeply affected me. Never thought it would considering I knew no one in the Muslim community in chch. The day after the attack I cried so much. All i felt was pain.

Here's the truth, what happened in New Zealand was truly awful. A shooting at a place of peace. But a lot big news outlets aren't spending time on it because it didn't happen in america. If it happened in the u.s people would care more. It's a sad reality. We must do better.
