@LondonRecycles @TerraCycleUK YES you can recycle crisp packets, NO you can't do it kerbside, it has to be through Terracycle, or a local group collecting and sending to Terracycle to raise money for charity. Crisp packets are a mixed material, so need specialist recycling.

@kew20k @TerraCycleUK @Recycle4Wales @walkers_crisps @Keep_Wales_Tidy @HughFW They can be, although last week I had credits within a day of sending! They're pretty good at the moment, even had 2 lots of crediting some weeks, but in the past it's been a case of hurry up and wait!

1 year ago, we sent our first box of crisp packets to @TerraCycleUK. It took 6 weeks to fill, and weighed 10kg. We now send similar most weeks, and in 1 year have sent 75 boxes weighing 400+kg, and raising nearly £900. 🥳

@RickHindley @JamesRSKay @TerraCycleUK @Recycle4Wales @walkers_crisps @Keep_Wales_Tidy @HughFW We're not even scratching the surface with the amount of crisp packets collected compared to the amount produced, but I'd like to think in the time it takes for the collection rates to increase, the closer we'll get to a more environmentally sound crisp packet.

@Recycle4Swansea If you promoted the Terracycle schemes more, you'd collect even less black bags! We're working hard, as volunteers, to reduce the amount of recyclable waste going to landfill, a little acknowledgement and support would be great.

@anemoneproject @TerraCycleUK Normally a community recycling group like ours would collect multiple waste streams, all in the same place. We collect 13 waste streams in most of our locations. We also accept waste sent in the mail too!
