Much of Psalm 91 is rooted in safety, trust, and obedience. It’s challenging to stay focused on God’s promises when we rely on our own intellect. We pray for many things, yet God often protects us from dangers we cannot see. Trust is where safety is found.
@ke_le_brimbor I agree that lifestyle audits and financial planning are important. However, the issue isn't always poor planning or overspending, it can also be that salaries simply aren’t reflective of the cost of living hence the need for extra income.
The key think is the definition of “decent” is very subjective. Someone will get K10,000 & say it’s peanuts, yet Civil Servants drool at such a salary as take home.
Most people haven’t done what I may term “Lifestyle Audit”, tabulate your Needs & Wants & put a figure in front from an objective point of view.
The easiest thing to do is point at a low pay. Interestingly, if one where to work all their life, salary is never sufficient until you have clear plans & financial goals in place.
My unpopular opinion; your full-time job should be enough to sustain a decent quality of life without requiring a side hustle. A side hustle should be a choice, not a necessity.
