Our role as the national intellectual property office enables us to support creatives in the arts industry by encouraging them to protect their works through registration, including copyright.
This morning, we were honored to hand over a copyright registration certificate to renowned jazz artist Isaiah Katumwa, whose global artistry and related musical works are now fully protected. Isaiah’s talent has seen him perform in concerts across the globe.
As a Ugandan artist who believes in protecting creativity, we commend and honor his appreciation of the value of copyright protection.
