This is pure window shopping and making memories at the Boeing office, nothing more. Let’s assume it’s a mix of Boeing 777 and 737 MAX aircraft. A bankrupt nation simply cannot afford a 2 to $3 billion price tag when securing a $3 billion IMF loan is treated as a major victory. Also, since PIA is now a private company, why is Mohsin representing them?
@motasim Well, loll he must be driving a high displacement German vehicle tuned for high speed cruising—in that case, it doesn’t really matter. The closest example we can think of is the Mark X, which has a large displacement engine that keeps the RPM hovering around 2,000.
Iran needs massive medical aid along with diplomatic efforts to stop the war.
Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Turkmenistan, which share land borders with Iran, should take the initiative...
The Pakistani government should arrange to send medical aid in addition to efforts on the diplomatic front for peace.
Some Major Heads should roll, This is Dinasour Bureaucracy the Curse on this country, Imagine they couldnt test a simple thing like this and made Thousands of people stand in lines for hours for this nonsense to announce later that it was all a mistake and its not working
You can clearly see a "protestor" shooting at the consulate.
In a country where 5 PTI activists can't stand on a roadside in Mian Channu, how did these armed protestors reach inside the US consulate?
Renowned lawyer Faisal Siddiqi remarked, "In the language of criminal jurisprudence: For the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC), government is the favourite litigant, opposition is the neglected litigant and the common citizen is the forgotten litigant".

About time that the govt comes out clean. Rumours are abound that more than one plane has been bought. For majority of Pakistanis these last few years have been tough. Poverty has risen and economic activity has come to a standstill. Absolutely no justification for such lavish excess!
After a new private plane, the spoilt brat’s govt of Punjab has issued a new transport policy for babus and police
Acc to the notification, the Chief Secretary and the IG of Police Punjab will now be allowed to use three official vehicles each. One 1800cc, 2800cc, and 4700cc
For two of the vehicles, they will receive 800 liters of free petrol per month and there will be no fuel limit for the 4700cc vehicle.
Previously the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary were only allowed to use 1300cc and 1600cc vehicles with a monthly petrol limit of 200 liters. There was also no fuel limit for vehicles used during official government tours
Pakistan’s Power Sector
Pakistan’s power grid: 46,605 MW installed.
Only 33.9% utilised.
We built the capacity.
We just can’t use it.
And we’re paying for it anyway.
Consumers pay Rs 2.5–2.8 TRILLION every year in capacity payments to idle plants — roughly equal to the entire defence budget.
Distribution losses hit 18.3% against NEPRA’s target of 11.8%.
Theft, leaks, billing fraud — all baked in. The anti-theft campaign recovered just Rs 23.6 billion against hundreds of billions in dues.
Circular debt: Rs 2.4 trillion. Sector liabilities:
Rs 9.2 trillion vs Rs 8.4 trillion in assets. The government pumped Rs 1 trillion in subsidies in FY2024-25 alone.
Six out of ten DISCOs still made losses.
Electricity prices more than doubled since 2022.
Finance Minister Aurangzeb himself admitted soaring costs are driving foreign investors away.
The result? A consumer exodus.
Pakistan imported 45 GW of solar panels in 4-5 years — nearly matching the entire grid capacity. 17 GW in 2024 alone. The middle class is voting with its wallet.
But here’s the death spiral: as wealthier consumers leave the grid, fixed costs get spread across fewer, poorer customers. Bills go up.
More people leave. Revenue drops. Circular debt grows.
Renewable generation? Just 5% of output in FY24. The 2025 target was 20%. Nowhere close.
The grid was overbuilt on 25-year contracts for a demand surge that never came.
The contracts are real. The bills are real. The power isn’t.
This isn’t a technical problem. It’s a governance catastrophe.

The lawyers across Pakistan need to stand up and speak for our colleague lawyers @ImaanZHazir@AdvHadiali
Where is the civic sense and sanity? This saga has become a sheer disgrace and embarrassment of a different scale to treat them in such a manner.
Law has become a joke and courts have been made as shams places.
Strongly standing with our fellow colleagues!
