Yesterday, I led the @KenyaCIC delegation to Uasin Gishu County as we officially began the handover process for the AgriBiz Programme.
This hub has supported 272 agribusiness enterprises across the North Rift, including 190 from Uasin Gishu County. But the real story is in the entrepreneurs: women and young people building brands, creating jobs, working with farmers and opening markets. Countrywide, the program supported more than 2,100 youth and women-led agribusiness ventures.
I sincerely thank @EUinKenya and @denmarkinkenya for making AgriBiz possible, and @UGC_TheChampion for being a committed partner.
AgriBiz may be closing its implementation phase, but the work of building climate-smart, inclusive enterprises continues. We will continue the handover process across seven other counties where AgriBiz was domiciled.

A Moment of Prestige for Kenya’s Diplomacy at the Court of St James.
I congratulate H.E. Ambassador Maurice Makoloo on formally presenting his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Charles III at St James’s Palace yesterday, 19 February 2026, thereby officially assuming office as the 16th High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
This reaffirms the enduring importance of Kenya–UK diplomacy, a relationship shaped by shared interests, mutual respect, and a vision for deeper cooperation. I am certain that Ambassador Makoloo’s steady leadership and seasoned experience will further strengthen these bilateral ties and enhance meaningful engagement with the Kenyan diaspora community across the United Kingdom.
Hongera, Balozi, may your service illuminate new pathways of partnership and elevate Kenya’s voice with dignity and purpose. As our elders remind us, “A tree with deep roots stands firm through every season.”
God bless you Balozi.
I was honored to engage stakeholders during the consultative forum on the review of the National Environment Policy, 2013 a policy that has guided Kenya’s environmental governance for over a decade.
As our environmental and development landscape continues to evolve, it has become clear that we must reposition our policy framework to effectively respond to intensifying climate change impacts, biodiversity loss, pollution, and emerging priorities such as waste management, the blue economy, and green financing.
This review marks a strategic moment for Kenya as it allows us to align our environmental governance with Vision 2030, MTP IV, the Constitution of Kenya, and our international commitments, while advancing the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
Environmental sustainability remains a critical enabler of inclusive growth, job creation, and resilience across key sectors of our economy. Our renewed focus will strengthen ecosystem restoration, climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, innovation, and the transition to a green and circular economy.
As we confront the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, I remain committed to ensuring that our updated policy is science-based, inclusive, and implementable.
Through collaboration, data-driven insights, and active stakeholder participation, we can secure Kenya’s natural capital, enhance the quality of life for all Kenyans, and safeguard a sustainable future for generations to come. #EnvironmentalPolicy
1/9 One thing many including some at the MoE have not been able to grasp is what Starehe Boys' Centre & School is. SBC is not just a School. It is a centre/home for bright boys from poor background. Initially, the boys used to go to school elsewhere- Pumwani, Eastleigh e.t.c
