@MuralMk will travel to Zambia soon for the installation of our full-scale system at @MyZambeef. He'll be working alongside graduate trainees from @Build_It_Int, but what other technology is he bringing along for the heat recovery system? Watch the video and find out:
Two preprints produced by our team members @MuralMk and Eleanor Mancusi-Ungaro are now available online! You can read about our pilot plant here: https://t.co/hjigAEjBXi and our wider resource assessment of wastewater heat recovery in Zambia here: https://t.co/uDJJ8uRCox
The REHEATZ team from @tcddublin and @southern_policy met this morning with Dr. Douty Chibamba, the Permanant Secretary of the @ZambiaMGEE! The MGEE has been an active supporter of our work since our first visit to Zambia and we are happy to continue developing that relationship
It's the start of a new semester at @tcddublin and team REHEATZ is hard at work! Today at our team meeting, we discussed our plans for the next few months which include trips to Cork, Morocco, and Zambia, where we'll continue our work with our partners @MyZambeef. Stay tuned!
The @ReheatzSDG project was awarded a runner-up prize in the SFI-@Irish_Aid Sustainable Development Goals Challenge today. The team is working to develop the first hybrid wastewater heat recovery technology for application in Zambian food production. Read:https://t.co/8YWTnnaiEn

Zambeef Pioneers Wastewater Heat Recovery
Zambeef has launched a waste-water heat recovery project in partnership with Trinity College Dublin (University of Dublin, Ireland) and the Southern Africa Institute of Policy and Research (SAIPAR). This is in response to addressing unprecedented climate change challenges. The launch was held at the Chisamba Huntley Farm. This project aims to recover heat from industrial wastewater and recycle this back into heating systems through Wastewater Heat Recovery (WWHR), which will help reduce both the significant costs and emissions associated with water heating.
Speaking at the occasion, Executive for Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ezekiel Sekele, expressed Zambeef's enthusiasm for pioneering more sustainable wastewater management processes. Dr Douty Chibamba, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment, stated that the project is aligned with the Green Government Policy Framework. The Director for Green Economy and Climate Change, Ephraim Shitima, read the statement on his behalf. This sentiment was echoed by the Irish Ambassador to Zambia, Her Excellency Bronagh Carr, who anticipated the initiative's expansion.
