$XAUUSD traders need to understand this if you have a 50% win ratio. It means you are a profitable trader, but you need to understand the simple maths.

For example, you have a $10,000 account

Risk 1% per trade = $100
1:2 RR = $200

10 trades:-
5 wins = +$1,000
5 losses = -$500
Net = +$500

You don’t need a 70–80% win rate.

You need proper risk management, smart execution and strict discipline.

Stop focusing on being right every move.

Focus on how much you risk when you’re wrong vs. how much you make when you’re right.

1. Overleveraging
2. Execution without any plan
3. Shifting your SL
4. Revenge trading
5. Executing every positions without money management.
6. Changing strategies after 2 losses
7. Trading because you’re bored
8. Risking money you can’t afford to lose
9. Ignoring higher-timeframe context
10. Thinking profits should come every day

Learn these before learning another art.

Before taking a trade on $XAUUSD ask yourself:-

What’s my higher timeframe bias?

What’s the current market structure?

Where is liquidity?

Am I trading from a meaningful location?

What is my confirmation?

Where is my invalidation?

How much am I risking?

Is the potential reward worth the risk?

Am I taking this because of my system or because I don’t want to miss the move?

If you can’t answer these questions, then don’t execute your position.
