Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) warns private schools to prepare for possible disruption tomorrow ahead of the planned nationwide transport sector strike over fuel prices
@NPSOfficial_KE I don't think there is any security threat, Kenyans are just voicing the impunity and oppression of the extra high fuel prices. Am sure even yourselves are unable to maintain movement since your vehicles have no fuel also affected by the high prices which is off the budget.
This is the first time in Kenya’s history diesel has gone up by Sh46 to Sh243 in a single fuel pricing cycle after an EPRA review.
When diesel goes up like that:
— Cost of living goes up
— Logistics costs go up
(Yet salaries remain the same)
In the period under review, the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol and Diesel increases by KShs.16.65/litre and KShs.46.29/litre respectively while the price of Kerosene remain unchanged.
