Schools around the state are currently voting on a proposal that would change the face of high school football: Districts

It would divide the state’s football-playing schools into 64 eight-team districts, eight per class.

✅Requires the IHSA to schedule 490+ football teams (going to be a mess)
✅Has no provision for scheduling lower-level games
✅Has no plan for how officials will be set up
✅Will absolutely decrease the number of teams playing 11-man football over time
