So true. Today is my 45th consecutive #BreakfastatWimbledon for my family.

I started in ‘79 when in was in HS before I had my own family & told my parents I was cooking a traditional English breakfast w/ a few slight modifications. I thought my mom was fainting when I told her my plans.

Eggs Benedict, Strawberries and Cream and Swedish Pancakes, the latter in honor of my dad who introduced me to tennis when I was 5 yrs old. Roscoe Tanner of TN played & lost to Bjorn Borg in the first men’s final televised live here in the US in ‘79. When Borg played, he was lights out good, and hence a 5 time champion.

In 2020 there was no tournament so here we are for the 45th live telecast of the men’s final in ‘25.

In 5 years my family and I are planning to be there for the @Wimbledon finals weekend.

And so now I begin a completely self serving campaign to be considered to be invited to the Royal Box for the finals weekend in 2030. 50 consecutive years of breakfast at Wimbledon could not be celebrated in a better way than to be there with tennis royalty enjoying the experience!
