@Tartan_GHopper@TheTributeAct@cutigerbelle Miami will party with you and forget about it tomorrow. It’s a different scene, that the Scots will love. But it won’t be anything close to Boston. They are about to have a TIME, but will be begging for a lobster roll within 72 hours.
@logopatt@StephenColley18 They play 2 different positions. It’s not a comparison. Someone above him probably said we want to take a D. And Judd offered who he thought the best available D was. Sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss. The draft is a bit of a gamble!
@CleanHitsHockey@NHLFoley Maybe. I think with the state of the game now re-alignment is needed. Adding New York and NJ alone to Q territory would be a great start.
@JrHockeyTruth@NCAA FB and BB do stash players in JC. The pro model/draft is different in those sports so it wouldn’t work the same as Hockey. What about the 06 that is committed to go to D1 in 2 years but the team doesn’t have room for him now? Tough shit, now you have to pay to play D3?
@TomGrothJr@2112hockey And yet the graduation rate of college hockey players is over 90%….so what’s the issue? I will agree with pay to play Junior needs to shrink. But the current model for college hockey works.
@TomGrothJr@2112hockey Junior hockey is optional. But it’s only optional for players that are good enough to make the jump to college. There are plenty of colleges that will take kids out of high school. The fact is, not many are ready to play.
@BCHL_Alberta@oldtymer11 The NHL teams are influencing where players play(even before the draft). You can’t ditch the draft. But I could understand your argument if you wanted the draft to be more like how the USHL does it.
@BCHL_Alberta@oldtymer11 Ice hockey….. works for a lot of people as well. Theres no doubt it’s unique, and doesn’t work for some. But if you ask a lot of people that have played, it’s the best time of their life and a great learning experience.
@BCHL_Alberta@oldtymer11 Why are you so angry? If a player doesn’t want to play in the CHL, they don’t have to. Stay home and play U18 or JR A.
If you want to play in the CHL there’s things you probably have to do, like move away from home.
@BCHL_Alberta@oldtymer11 CHL players are most definitely compensated. They do not pay for anything, including billet, schooling, equipment and off season training. If players don’t want to leave home, they can wait till they are an FA and choose where they want to play!
@Marshmont_63@ClankoMedia He did nothing, 12 year olds got in a “fight” in the locker room. Big nothing burger. Maybe you should have asked the dad that called you what his kid said that got him slapped in the first place!!
