Northwood University broke ground on a new campus statue honoring Sybil Ludington, a young patriot whose courage and leadership continue to inspire nearly 250 years later.

At just 16 years old, Ludington rode nearly 40 miles through the night in 1777 to rally local militia forces during the American Revolution, earning recognition as the “female Paul Revere.”

The statue, first announced at the 2024 Distinguished Women Awards Gala, serves as a tribute to the more than 500 women recognized through Northwood’s Distinguished Women Awards program since 1970. It will stand as a lasting reminder that courage, leadership, and the willingness to act can make a meaningful impact.

1) it’s not inappropriate.
2) I know many fans who have no issue with them getting out and having fun. They didn’t need to get punished for how they played, I love the fact that they went out and let loose.
3) you talk about how badly they played in their last four games of the series - fine - but you may remember the two of those games went to overtime. They were one shot away from winning those games. These guys can hold their head up high. They have a great future coming their way.
