Oswaldtwistle Mills awarded National Lottery Heritage Fund grant of £178k to save and reopen historic mill heritage centre

Oswaldtwistle Mills is delighted that a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund will save and reopen its Heritage Centre, with the successful bid supported by Amazing Accrington. This will preserve the story of Moscow Mill and its weaving community, while securing its future for generations to come.

Today we are honoured to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire, Mrs Amanda Parker JP, to the Wham Stadium for our #BigShirtGiveaway 🤩

Today, we were proud to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire to Moorside House in Altham to unveil a new blue plaque in the borough.

The blue plaque commemorates this historic house as being the former home of Lydia Becker, a pioneer of the suffrage movement and a great champion of women's rights.

The Lord-Lieutenant was welcomed by the Groves family, who are the current custodians of this heritage property.

The house is open this weekend as part of Heritage Open Days, unfortunately tickets have now sold out!
