π¨ NEPALESE MAN ALLEGEDLY SCAMMED OF β¦1.6 BILLION β INSIDE POLICE FORCE HEADQUARTERS!
Verydarkman sat down with a man from Nepal named Bista who says he lost β¦1.6 billion in one of the boldest alleged scams in Nigeria.
Bista, from Nepal and based in Malaysia, was invited to Nigeria in 2023 by a Cameroonian friend named Emmanuel Masa. Masa allegedly promised a big opportunity to travel abroad using Asman Airlines through a company called Fredlock Mine, with flights to Suriname near Brazil.
To make it look real, the alleged scammers held meetings inside the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters in Abuja. Police officers in uniform reportedly told them the deal was safe and the people involved were genuine. Seeing police at the Force HQ, Bista and his group trusted the whole thing completely.
From there, the money kept flowing:
- They paid in stages for visas, tickets, boarding passes, fuel, permits, and "clearance" fees.
- At one point, he sent β¦90 million in a single day.
- Police vehicles allegedly picked up his associates from hotels and demanded millions for their release, with Emmanuel claiming he was also held because of it.
- Fake documents were allegedly produced, including boarding passes and letters claiming to be from government agencies.
- The MD of Asman Airlines allegedly knew about it and collected money.
When Bista tried to get justice, things got worse. He says EFCC officers asked for bribes, the case dragged for months, and he was arrested and held for days without food. He claims Emmanuel boasts of strong police and government connections that make him untouchable.
Today, Bista cannot return to Nepal because his family has been threatened and his property seized over the debt. His 83-year-old father is still waiting to see him.
VDM has taken up the case and promised to push it further, including reaching out to the Inspector General of Police to get the culprits arrested and the money recovered.

VDM says this case has been settled at the CP's office. According to VDM, his issue was never the argument... it's that a military man in uniform assaulted a civilian on camera. No matter what was said, whoever hits first is wrong.
He also said that the woman is not the wife of the Chief of Naval Staff, but the wife of a general he knows personally and respects.
Because of how the woman spoke during the case, VDM says he'll be taking down his previous videos on the matter.
He also said that the delivery guy has apologized and settled with the lady and warned the company to improve their service.
Moral lesson: Many Ratels are not happy with the way the matter ended. But we move. πΉπΉ
