I’m deeply moved by these words, so rich in love, sparkling with joy, soft with compassion, and wrapped in the sweetest warmth. They touch my heart in the most beautiful way. Congratulations dear family and God bless you all 🙏🙏
Today, my wife goes back to work after 6 months of maternity leave.
Not a vacation. Not a break. A life-giving, soul-stretching season of becoming a mother… to twins. 💛
These past months have been full of everything joy, fear, discovery, sleepless nights, milestones, and miracles. Watching her mother our babies with such strength, softness, and resilience has given me a front-row seat to the quiet power of women. My admiration for her has grown tenfold.
If there’s anything I’ve learned in this journey, it’s this: 6 months of maternity leave isn’t a luxury. It’s a lifeline.
For the mother. For the child. For the family. For society.
To the amazing organization (PRACTICAL ACTION) that gave her this time…thank you. Thank you for seeing her not just as an employee, but as a whole person. Because of you, she returns not drained, but refreshed. Not lost, but stronger. Ready.
To anyone reading: I pray every mother gets this chance. To heal. To bond. To adjust. To just be.
Let’s not normalize rushing women back into “normal” before their bodies, babies, and emotions are ready.
And to my wife:
You’ve done an incredible job. You’ve given our children a foundation of love that no one else could. I know today may feel overwhelming, but remember, you’re still their safe place. And we’re cheering for you every step of the way.
To our X friends and family: thank you for your kind words, prayers, and love. I know not everyone chooses to share personal moments, and we’re selective too. But sometimes, your story becomes someone else’s comfort.
So here’s ours short, honest, and full of hope.
