ಅಪರಾಧಗಳಿಗೆ 'ನೈತಿಕತೆ'ಯ ಲೇಪ ಹಚ್ಚಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆಗೆ ಇರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಎಂದು ಹಗುರವಾಗಿಸುವ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಸವರಾಜ ಬೊಮ್ಮಾಯಿಯವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಖಂಡನಾರ್ಹ. ಅದು ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸುವ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾನೂನು ಬದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಫ್ಯಾಸಿಸ್ಟ್ ಧೋರಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

#ಕನ್ನಡರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಎಂದರೆ ಅದು ಅಂಧ ಭಾಷಾ ಪ್ರೇಮವಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ಭಾಷಾ ಜಾನಾಂಗೀಯತೆಯೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಕನ್ನಡ ತನವೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಜನರ ಜೀವನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಸೆದಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ ಮನಸ್ಸು. ಅದು ಏನಾದರು ಆಗು‌ ಮೊದಲು ಮಾನವನಾಗಲಿಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಪಯಣ. ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ #ಕನ್ನಡರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ದ ಶುಭಾಷಯಗಳು.
