The Tampa Bay Rays have made the following roster moves:
β’ Placed RHP Craig Kimbrel (right wrist strain) on the 15-day IL (retro May 28).
β’ Recalled LHP Cam Booser and RHP Trevor Martin from Triple-A Durham.
β’ Designated RHP Andrew Wantz for assignment.
@scottamedeiros@TheFungi669 This case refutes the false claims made by MAGA and the right, demonstrating that January 6th was a coordinated attempt to overthrow the election certification.

@NYcanito@harrywittine@SteveCona Marlins and Rays do have the same problem, too many Yankee fans that flee NY and don't know how to support the cities they flee to.
@NYcanito@harrywittine@SteveCona They make enough money. They don't want to commit more money. You don't generate a fan base without players fans want to see. Diamondbacks started the same year and make only 40M more Rev then Rays and their Payroll is 80M more. 50% Rev to Payroll and avg. 29k fans.
@NYcanito@harrywittine@SteveCona I don't care about other owners and teams. The Rays don't attract fans because they have historically offshored talent and never lockdown players fans want to see. Fans don't want to show up to a new roster of players from the minors each season.
@NYcanito@harrywittine@SteveCona Billionaire owners shouldn't expect people to show up and finance teams the ownership doesn't plan on investing in. Not sure what part of this you don't understand.
This is putting the cart before the horse when Rev. has increased and Payroll has not.

@NYcanito@harrywittine@SteveCona Over the last decade, revenue has increased nearly $100M. Payroll only increased only about $18M. The Rays only invest about 33% revenue into payroll. Poor billionaires shouldn't buy sports teams.
@NYcanito@harrywittine@SteveCona So now that your argument has changed from "empty stadiums don't generate revenue" to "that's not enough to support the team".
The Rays 2025 Rev was approx. 280M and only invested 33% into Payroll. Multiple teams have similar Rev. and invest upwards 50%. Rays have no excuse
