In the UK, 1980s home computers typically loaded software from audio cassettes, but did you know software sometimes came on records? These ‘flexi discs’ were given away on magazine covers. They were cheap to manufacture and more convenient to distribute than bulky cassettes.

ZX81 BASIC had a ‘PRINT AT’ command for displaying characters at given coordinates. The ‘PLOT’ command would place a pixel (64x44 resolution). The PRINT’N’PLOTTER JOTTER was a special notepad that allowed screen layouts to be planned out on paper. Did you use one back in the day?
