Finished a piece I started one year ago.

Do you ever try something you rarely do, or draw something outside your usual comfort zone?

I set this piece aside a year ago because the lighting called for a different approach from my previous work. I’d painted darker scenes before, but this time, the character wasn’t the sole focus—the overall atmosphere mattered more. Back then, I couldn’t quite figure out what to emphasize and what to let go of to make the painting feel right.

When I revisited it one year later, I suddenly felt that spark again.

I finally knew how to finish her.
