I dont believe its always that people see you as a 'burden' but they themselves might be battling negative thoughts/ depression. Ive had to step away from people because their world/self veiw makes me feel so down.. I have to actively work to fight that shit off.

Nobody likes you when you're depressed.
Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.

Not that its anyone's job to fix/change you... i believe being loves fully is helpful in overcoming those moments in life, but alot of people in active depression won't let you in to help. The very nature of depression alters your perception.
