Lumiere Cinema started in 2019 when former movie theatre employees took over the Music Hall theatre. Independent arthouse cinema. #KeepLumiereCinemaAlive
Lumiere Cinema was started by employees who took over a movie theatre, the Music Hall in Beverly Hills. We are an arthouse cinema. COVID-19 has closed us for over 6 months. Somehow we have made it this far. We’re asking for your help. #SmallBusinessRelief https://t.co/ybCa1mL0EM
When we get our 35mm set up and have a repertory program, the studios should subsidize a development executive film education program. We can still right this ship.
I've been working with younger execs and collaborators recently and am coming to realize I need to update my references and comparisons to older films because they simply don't know them.
"It's like that scene in Romancing the Stone..." Blank stares all around.

In Sara Dosa and Andri Snær Magnason’s moving essay film, Iceland’s vanishing glaciers become a haunting measure of family memory, deep time and climate catastrophe.

"I Love Boosters" is a fun experience especially on a big screen. Every backdrop is a graphic stun grenade, every scene is a float in a parade and the whole thing feels like watching a fireworks show.

With the success of OBSESSION it appears the mainstream press is finally going to cover what’s been happening with theatrical exhibition. It turns out dumping your movies on a website is not a good distribution model.
Independent movie theaters continue to be a vital asset to their communities, with a 9% increase in business in 2025 according to a new survey.
25% of those surveyed said they first began going to their preferred art house theaters within the last three years. These new art house moviegoers had an average age of 40, 11 years younger than the average age of all those surveyed, which is 51. Of those recent attendees, 68% were younger than 45.

I Love Boosters is the wackiest, wittiest, most insightful and creative movie I have seen in a Very Long Time. @BootsRiley you are operating on a level above genius
Just seen the movie Savage House (Claire Foy, Richard E Grant). Brilliant. Swiftian. Awful, Disgusting. Superb - particularly on love. Here’s a family that betray each other and love each other. And fantasy: like gamblers they think just one more throw of the dice …

The way that The Last Guest of the Holloway Motel rocked my world. What a beautiful film about the tenuousness and forgiveness of family. I am absolutely floored by this doc.
