My first two sessions of the day are about Songwriting and considering my classroom environment for inclusion & diversity. Language and representation are so important, and I'm grateful for these opportunities to keep learning at #sisrocks
Absolutely loving this session on "Culturally Responsive Teaching in General Music"with Manju Durairaj. AMIS friends, if you haven't checked out this session yet, make sure you do! My pages document of notes overfloweth ;) #sisrocks
5B & 4/5FBP kids killing it with their chimes pieces this year! Expanding out chimes rep and getting ready to hit the road for an upcoming tour @ #sisrocks@constancekkg
Excited for another fabulous #AMIS conference this year. While I miss meeting my music colleagues in person (a dynamic group indeed, no pun intended😁) I’m grateful for the virtual opportunity to meet ❤️ #sisrocks
@levi_allison42@ymartin Me too! Even 'happy adventure' notes sound lovely :) I'm trying something different this year- each class does their own song, and we will gather in a month or so where the kids will be able to hear the other pieces that the other classes have been working on :)
G5 on their first day with a new piece today. Working through some new literacy challenges with a fabulous growth mindset. Proud of these ringing geckos! #sisrocks
Congratulations to our Gr. 2-5 Performers at our Candlelight Recitals. I'm so proud of your hard work and your dedication to learning! Special thanks to the extra fab teachers who came to support their students. #sisrocks#sismusic
