What's the difference between a trumpet and cornet? 🎺

TL;DR: The trumpet has a cylindrical bore, the cornet has a conical one. The cornet's tubing gradually gets larger as it reaches the bell, the trumpet's does not.

Did you know: Bridge replacement is a common violin/viola repair, but bridges aren't interchangeable. To replace it, the luthier will carve a "blank" bridge to fit the specific measurements of each instrument. 🎻
