New publication klaxon!
We are delighted to announce the publication of Musica Scotica Volume VIII: The Complete Works of Robert Johnson, edited by Elaine Moohan and our founder, the late Kenneth Elliott.
This volume will be of particular interest to choral directors, singers, & small instrumental ensembles, as well as musicologists and those with an interest in Scottish music of the sixteenth century.
We think it would be the perfect Christmas gift for any of the above. 🙂
Tomorrow is Holy Thursday, so here is a taster for #lockdown home performance from our forthcoming volume The Complete Works of Robert Johnson, edited by Dr Elaine Moohan and the late Dr Kenneth Elliott: https://t.co/xKQDCJgFsX
Season's greetings from all at Musica Scotica!
And since you asked (didn't you?), all we want for Christmas is more subscribers to our mailing list, so we can have even more great discussions in 2020 --

Unfortunately we've had to cancel this weekend's Study Day. Registered attendees and any other students interested in exchanging ideas are however welcome to join us for an informal chat in the cafe of the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Saturday 30th Nov from 2.30pm.
The Study Day is aimed at all students with an interest in Scottish music. The day will be informal and collegial, and there is also space for presentations of 15-20 minutes long. Deadline for abstracts is 25 October; more details on the Eventbrite site.
