Chinese forces have fired flares directly at Philippine Coast Guard aircraft by the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) which is part of the Philippines.

The attack took place over Zamora Reef which China unilaterally took control of in 2014-2015 with a large-scale land reclamation project on the reef.

They have since turned it into a major artificial island of 4 km² with:

- A 3,000-meter airstrip
- Radar facilities and gun batteries
- Surface-to-air missiles

According to international law, as affirmed by the 2016 Arbitral Tribunal ruling, China has no right to the area.

Fox News has learned that the Commander of the 82nd Airborne Division Maj Gen Brandon Tegtmeier and his “command element,” members of his headquarters staff, have been ordered to deploy to the Middle East as the Pentagon and White House weigh whether to send the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East for possible land operations.

There has been speculation that the US would use ground forces to possibly take Kharg Island or for other missions inside Iran. This would be a first step needed to plan for such a contingency.

The US Navy Fleet Tracker is oddly dark as well. We have 11 Aircraft Carriers, look at the 12/29/25 update compared to the 03/17/25 update.

We are no longer posturing, we are in OPSEC mode. In Kuwait, the USA maintains roughly 13,500 troops at any given time. These troops serve as a Middle East response force (among other missions).

So why are the 1/75 Rangers and 101st Airborne deployments significant? The 75th Ranger Regiment's primary mission is airfield seizures. The 101st is an Air Assault unit.

The USA just moved a huge strategic asset designed to open the gates of hell into whatever country we choose.
