@MadisonPayton2 It's not like we have statistics that show many people of color and impoverished communities don't have access to adequate healthcare. It's not like we know that this pandemic has shown the ugliest parts of capitalism. No, nothing like that π
@heymrsbond I'm new at a high school this year and an example they've given twice now for a discipline incident is that a student forgets a pencil. How is this worth disciplining? Even chronically unprepared students deserve grace.
@alixandra27 Yes! I did this all year with 5th graders (sign out sheet and pass), and then only had to add the rule of one student out at a time when spring fever hit and bad decisions were being made π₯΄
Just curious:
Teachers, please RT this if you teach your students about things and topics that are NOT in the curriculum or the textbook you use because you know itβs very important that they learn it.
@DrBradJohnson The "don't address everyone for issues with one" is HUGE. Please tell me if you have an issue with ME. There is no need to put me on sneaky blast. It's embarrassing and not helpful.
@lawanda43 @MDEnglishTeach Wikipedia is very quick to correct bad information. They also require citations for every fact presented in the article and will tell you when something is missing a citation. I have also told my students to go to Wikipedia for research, but use the citations at the bottom.
