13 pro-thawra MPs were elected in 2022 out of 128. And many other independents, like Mouawad, Makhzoumi etc.

I was so prepared to hate on this mom, and for the first quarter of the article, I did. But by the end I believe this woman is a hero. These days, no one believes that upholding their values should require sacrifices and this woman put everything on the line twice: once when she put her kid in a predominantly black school and a second time when she admitted she was wrong and let her daughter decide what highschool she wanted to attend. I really believe this woman left the world a better place because of her choices (especially her advocacy at the disadvantaged schools her daughter attended) and very few people can say that

بعد طرح بيع الذهب للمساهمة في رد أموال المودعين من قبل عدة جهات، يأتي المدعو فريدة ليقول إن الذهب «مش ملك مصرف لبنان»!

❗️الحقيقة القانونية والمحاسبية واضحة:

الذهب هو جزء من أصول واحتياطيات مصرف لبنان، وهو مُدرج رسميًا في ميزانية مصرف لبنان تحت بند Gold ضمن Assets. ومصرف لبنان نفسه ينشر بياناته الرسمية ويصنّف الذهب ضمن ميزانيته، وقد بلغت القيمة المسجّلة/المقوّمة لاحتياطي الذهب مستويات ضخمة وفق البيانات الرسمية للمصرف.

فكيف يُقال للمودعين إن الذهب «ليس ملك مصرف لبنان» بينما مصرف لبنان نفسه يُدرجه ضمن أصول ميزانيته؟

المطلوب من أصحاب هذه ال��صريحات أن يقدّموا النص القانوني الصريح والمستند المحاسبي الذي يثبت كلامهم، بدل إطلاق عبارات مضللة أمام الرأي العام.

المشكلة ليست في الذهب، بل في محا��لة إقناع المودعين بأن أصول مصرف لبنان لا علاقة لها بمعالجة الخسائر، فيما المطلوب هو تحديد المسؤوليات القانونية والمالية ودفع كل طرف ديونه الدولة و مصرف لبنان و المصارف وفق القانون، بدل تحميل المودعين وحدهم ثمن الانهيار.

A website called “Reverse Canary Mission,” run by non-Palestinians who call themselves “pro-Palestine,” has created a profile about me, falsely branding me a “Zionist” because of my work exposing Hamas’s crimes against Palestinian and Israeli civilians.

What is particularly revealing is that they acknowledge my work documenting Israeli settler terrorism and the killing of Palestinians in the West Bank. Their problem with me is that I also condemn Hamas, describe its crimes as terrorism and war crimes, and advocate for a two-state solution.

Well, both are true, and I have absolutely no problem saying so.

I will continue exposing Hamas’s crimes against Palestinian and Israeli civilians, just as I will continue exposing settler terrorism and abuses committed by Israeli occupation forces. And yes, I still believe in a two-state solution: an independent Palestinian state living side by side with Israel.

This is yet another example of performative activists in the West trying to dictate to Palestinians what we are allowed to believe and what our freedom is supposed to look like. They risk nothing and sacrifice nothing, yet they are perfectly comfortable watching Palestinians continue to pay the price for their romanticized “resistance” fantasies.

And falsely branding Palestinians as “Zionists” for speaking against Hamas is not solidarity. It is an attempt to intimidate and silence Palestinian voices that refuse to conform to their ideology.

I have said it before, and I will say it again: one of my life’s missions is to destroy the narrative Hamas has built around itself. Hamas has hijacked the suffering of our people and sold its ideology to activists thousands of miles away—many of whom do not even speak Arabic or bother listening to what Palestinians themselves have to say about Hamas.

I will not stop speaking out until Hamas and its armed rule are gone from Palestinian life and become part of our past. And I will fight just as relentlessly against the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, settler terrorism, and the abuses committed against Palestinians.

I have already been threatened by those "Pro Palestine " activists over this work, including threats of harm against me here in the United States. But intimidation will not determine what I say or what I believe.

Advocating for Palestinian human rights does not require silence about Hamas. And solidarity with Palestinians does not require us to surrender our own voices to ideological activists in the West.
