In 2007, a superstar’s son walked into my studio unannounced.

#RanbirKapoor was about to make his debut with Saawariya.

The PR team had told me:
“Ranbir will arrive at 6 PM.”

At 5:30 PM, a young man walked into the studio alone.

No entourage.
No PR team.
No announcements.
Just a smile.

“Hi, I’m Ranbir Kapoor.”
I told him:
“I only have 30 minutes.”

He smiled.
“I want to do a long session. Talk as long as you want.”

Then he walked to the studio door.

Locked it from the inside.
Looked at me and said:

“Don’t even look at them.”
His entire team was standing outside we spoke for nearly two hours.

Unfiltered.
Uninterrupted.

Years later, he told me something I’ve never forgotten:

“Siddharth, I admire how you’ve balanced your work and your personal life. You have a beautiful family. That’s what I want for myself someday” at a time when the whole country was watching him…

All he wanted was a real life.
