This is recycling week. Remember that both recycling and garbage collection is occurring one day later than normal due to the holiday on Monday. Make sure your recycling tote is at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your sanitation day.
There are numerous reports of downed power lines in the area. If you see a downed line, please assume it still has power to it and stay at least 25 feet away. You can report downed power lines to 9-1-1 or to Consumers Energy at 1-800-477-5050
Crews are responding to a water main break at Evanston and Sheridan. If you live in this area, you may experience intermittent loss of water service. Once restored, you may notice a discoloration in your water. Running your water for a short time should resolve that issue.
Muskegon Twp offices will be closed on Thursday January 31. Sanitation services WILL NOT RUN ON THURSDAY. Thursday’s collection will occur on Friday and Friday’s collection will occur on Saturday.

Township offices will be closed on Monday Dec 31 & Tuesday Jan 1. Sanitation service will run as normal on Monday, will not run on Tuesday, and will run a day later than normal starting on Wednesday.
Sanitation and recycling is the week of Dec 24. Collection will occur on Mon Dec 24, no collection will occur on Tues Dec 25, and collection will resume on Wed Dec 26 running one day later than normal. The same schedule will apply to sanitation collection on the week of Dec 31.
