In an 'emergency' press conference, the truckers' new spokesperson Tom Marazzo says: "I'm willing to sit at a table with the conservatives and the NDP and the Bloc, as a coalition. I'll sit with the governor general."
Albanians are protesting Jared Kushner’s plan to turn an island into a billionaire playground.
Americans should be protesting the billionaire takeover of their government.
Hey America, be more like Albania. June 14th seems like a good day to start.
@bearsfanxx@marlene4719@southernmsgurl "fucking your dead brother wife is."
That's a cliche that's even made it in movies - with no attribution to Hunter.
Cheating is shitty, no matter who is doing it. There's no "worse" - that's just trying to whitewash someone you support.
@Thetrilliumca@fordnation what they all think is a joke, is that you have the absolute highest debt of all of them - and that you have seen the absolute highest raise of debt level.
Weather's beautiful here in Muskoka today, an absolutely gorgeous day for a resignation speech.
The House has REFUSED to remove "Section 224" from the newest Israeli aid bill.
The U.S. and Israeli militaries are set to merge in 2027.
It's over. we lost.
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

@Markchoma1@ande56495@DaAngryOstrich My wife is a PSW, I hear them talking about 'doing showers' all the time regarding their night routines. I imagine grampa has a clean team - I hope they're paid incredibly well .. Shivers at the thought ..
This is now the THIRD time this dementia ravaged imbecile has held up this absolutely moronic chart that compares the reflecting pool to things with no comparable basis of any kind. Its like saying a plane is longer than a basketball court, who the hell cares?!
@SpenceEarth@Gina_T1@GMDanTO As always, they're way behind.
This "recession" goes from -1% up to -0.1%, and then as you say April was positive growth. An upwards trend.
They're stuck in the past, and always happy to misrepresent it to scare Canadians.
Yesterday Donald Trump tripled the size of his personal political army inside the government. Illegally. And almost no one noticed.
Here's what happened:
He signed an order converting ~8,000 of the most senior career officials in government into employees he can fire for any reason, or no reason at all.
These aren't rando's. They're the directors, chiefs of staff, and the people who write the rules or decide who gets federal money, i.e. the lieutenants right below his political appointees.
Until yesterday, they answered to the law. Now they answer to him.
A president normally gets ~4,000 political appointees. People he can bring into government and fire at will. I was one of them at DHS. You serve at his pleasure, full stop -- so if you're gonna speak truth to power, you're prepared to quit (or get fired if he doesn't like it).
The rest of the federal government is PROTECTED from firing if they tell the truth.
But Trump just stripped those protections. Adding 8,000 more people to his personal army. Overnight. Without asking Congress.
With the stroke of a pen, those people now serve at the pleasure of the president. They're "his" people, whether they like it or not.
And the chilling effect is real. An official who can be fired this afternoon for "subversion of presidential directives" (the order's own words) doesn't need to be hand-picked to know what's expected of him or her.
The threat does all the work.
By the way, this order is illegal. The law only lets Trump reclassify jobs when "necessary" in exceptional circumstances. And this blows an 8,000-person hole in the merit hiring / firing system created by Congress.
Without permission, Trump has created a whole new category of stormtroopers inside the Executive Branch.
If this doesn't get challenged in court, you're going to see the U.S. government become a very different place.
Here's the full story: https://t.co/mJzrvzhxGR
Woodrow Wilson had a stroke and they kept it a secret. FDR couldn't walk and they kept it a secret. Eisenhower had heart attacks and they kept it a secret. Reagan had colon cancer and dementia and they kept it a secret. Trump's health is much worse than whatever they let us see.
LMFAO!
O&G has had year over year record production & record profits!
They are shedding jobs because of automation & streamlining.
Too expensive due to regulations? Don’t you think they should clean up their mess & pay their municipal taxes? That’s a $250B bill #abpoli#cdnpoli
In Denmark, McDonalds workers make $25 an hour and, if they are over twenty, the company starts paying into a pension plan for them, and in addition they have a full 6 weeks of paid vacation.
Now how much do you think this costs customers? The Economist looked into this and found out that the Big Mac costs 76 cents less than it does here.
Don't believe the lies that raising the minimum wage would force prices to go up.
Sunshine: It's not a slush fund. It's an anti weaponization fund. Why do we have the fund? Because a contractor pled guilty to leaking Trump’s tax returns.
Phillip: What does that have to with a fund that Trump said is meant to compensate January 6th rioters? He said, I'm proud I pardoned these people and they deserve money from the government.
Sunshine: We had grandmas that were in jail for two years.
Boykin: I'm really embarrassed for you
