In general foidcaptured describes a condition that is broader than this phenomenon itself where no one can act anymore without thinking about how they would look and what it thus to their status in the eyes of the many who are now always watching, always observing. This is for many youngsters now their biggest fear. Everything is about how you come across, in other words everything is about how others see you. Even disengagement itself is almost always precisely about this; about becoming the cool person who disengages. There is always some big other watching, judging your every move.

Everything provides them with anxiety, their position in life, their age, whether enough people accept them, whether they like the right things, whether they say the right things etc. and these are not things they want to overcome for their own sake but rather because they feel watched. They are not stressed about "becoming old" because they feel their body decaying or even really for missed opportunities as such, but because they compare themselves and feel like they have failed in the eyes of the everwatching other. They themselves ofcourse are as much victims of this as participants as they themselves engage in the same behaviors of shaming and "flexing".

If one zooms in on the values like those that are being "flexed" especially by looksmaxxers and the like, none of this is actually a value. What they are flexing is antithetical to supposed opposition to society, as their opposition to society is predicated on the same society giving them their status. What is "cool" is what the herd tells them is such. What is "winning" is to live with the positive judgment of the other to the point that you can then say that you actually "don't care" about the other

The irony of the looksmaxxer but of really almost any phenomenon nowadays that focusses on "self-improvement" (which means turning yourself into something that others deem worthy) is that it necessitates an increasing amount of effort for mere survival based on the other and with that increasingly a non-creation of your own values and of actually overcoming anything.

Foidcaptured is apt as a term here because ofcourse the current gender dynamics are a prime example of the above and what happens to the looksmaxxer. No matter how much he says he does not care about women, he lives his entire life as wanting to be accepted by women. His success is measured based on how many women accept him, this is not something that just comes to him but that he works for and deeply cares about. Even in general this is really just the case for zoomers who now see this as the ultimate flex to have been judged "worthy" by a woman. Thus what is a "flex" now, a deep goal, is sheer survival (or access to sex). There is no overcoming, no value creation for its own sake. (ofcourse foidcaptured is also an apt term because the idea of always being judged by the other is itself a feminine state).
