a lot of why my problem with the hyperevm eco is many of the "major protocols" are run by cartoonishly incompetent midwits but because they all made a bag together (off an airdrop for getting liquidated) they just gas each other up and many fall for it without even thinking. its not even malicious (which would arguably be more respectable, id rather get rugged by an criminal genius then by a simpleton vibecoder dev) theyre simply room temp iq

At a time when BAYCs and punks were clutching pearls around “right-click-save”, Charlotte Fang understood the real potential value of the image is its propensity to propagate freely, (hence the V for Viral in VPL), whether that be in the form of memes, art, pfps, or derivatives.

This is why Milady always encouraged and embraced a culture from the early days of “stealing” a Milady pfp, as have we encouraged and even made Hypio pfps for non holders to grow the presence of the community - see the recent appearance of Holy Liquid style Hypio pfps for instance.

It’s also why we don’t have a lot of time for you guys wearing 2021-era pfps that “don’t get us”. It’s not meant for you. You’re stuck in a time capsule that we outgrew four years ago. And now we’re moving beyond that with the lessons we’ve learned.

You all are going on and on about “why are their so many popular remilia derivatives, it must be one team launching them” - in a way, you’re right. It’s one massive uncoordinated team downstream of Remilia who all have their own takes on it and add their own element to the mix. Some of that is valuable, some of it is wanted by the market, much of it isn’t. But it’s time to start playing catch-up and stop living in the past.

Remilia changed the NFT game completely almost four years ago. Within a year that should have been clear to see. Hyperliquid put the pieces in motion to change the defi game about a year ago.
